Survey of existing buildings in Dhaka.

Members of Maeda-lab as part of Tohoku university team in SATREPS project surveyed several governmental existing buildings in Bangladesh to assess their seismic vulnerability, from the period of 21st ~ 25th of January 2018. Both counterparts from PWD, BUET univ and AUST univ as well as other participants from another JICA project (BSPP) worked together in the survey. The investigation included: redrawing As-built drawings including infill walls, reinforcement check using Gamma-Radiography, other NDT tests such as Schmidt hammer and Windsor-pin for columns and masonry infill walls and masonry in-site shear wall tests.
